Bursaries
King’s College School, Wimbledon remains committed to broadening access by offering to parents and/or guardians of eligible pupils means-tested, discretionary financial support with the payment of school costs. The school is able to provide financial support of over £1.5 million each year to senior school pupils. This enables young people of exceptional talent and promise to benefit from a world-class education regardless of their background or their family’s financial circumstances.
Financial assistance (or a bursary award) is available for the families of applicants who would be unable to fund some or all of the tuition fees if their child were to be offered a place. Financial assistance varies and can cover up to 100% tuition fees and may, in addition, include provision for extra costs like uniform, equipment and compulsory school trips. As with all other applicants, pupils hoping to benefit from financial assistance must first gain a place at King’s.
The school also has limited funds to provide possible short term assistance to current parents where there has been an unforeseen change in financial circumstance.
