    Bursaries
Shiplake College is committed to broadening access to the school by offering means-tested financial support to eligible parents or guardians to assist with the payment of school fees. Bursaries are awarded on the basis of the financial needs of the family and what the child can bring to and gain from the College. Means-tested bursaries (which can be from 10-110%) are awarded at the school’s discretion and hardship fund for families whose financial situation changes.

Scholarships can be further supplemented by a means-tested bursary, but pupils can also receive means-tested bursaries without scholarships.

The Eggar Scholarship offers a 100% discount for a pupil joining from a primary school who also excels academically and in another scholarship area such as music or sport.

The school's total bursary pot equals approximately 8-10% of fee income.
