Bursaries
St Paul’s offers a generous bursary scheme, although all applicants must still meet its high academic standards to be considered. Bursaries are available for boys entering at 7+ and 8+ to the junior school or 11+, 13+ and 16+ for the senior school. They are only open for applications once a pupil is fairly far into the admissions process, given the demanding academic nature of the school and the high competition for places.
The bursary scheme covers or part-covers school fees, which includes tuition, boarding (if applicable), games, careers-aptitude tests, learning-needs tests, certain school publications and lunch. It may also cover or part-cover educational trips, training camps, tutorial outings, examination fees, school bus fares, private music tuition and iPads/smart devices where applicable. Annual allowances are also made for school-uniform/sports-kit costs and textbooks. Any bursary awarded is reassessed at the end of each school year.
