Bursaries
The school operates a friendly and inclusive bursary scheme for entrants at Years 7 and 12 that is means-tested and limited by the money available in the bursary fund. It estimates that around 25 per cent of pupils receive some form of financial assistance, and the percentage of fees waived ranges from 25 per cent to full, according to the financial situation of the qualifying family. Full-fee bursaries also include the costs of compulsory school trips, travel to school on public transport (up to £350 per year) and a yearly uniform stipend (up to £500).
Admissions are still reliant on passing the entrance examination, and interview and awarded bursaries are re-assessed every year. As it does not offer academic scholarships, the school encourages any family who feel that they would qualify for financial assistance to follow the bursary process.
