Clifton College

A flourishing pre-prep, prep and upper school that offers a seamless education all the way through from age two to 18 – and has very respectable results from its broad pupil intake. With its marvellous historic buildings, including a Grade II-listed chapel and the Hogwartsesque Percival Library, plus spot-on location in Clifton Village, Bristol’s coolest neighbourhood, Clifton College has a lot going for it. All the main buildings are set around The Quad which opens up on to The Close where the top sporting fixtures are played. Since stepping up to become head of college in 201...

    Bursaries

To offer pupils an opportunity to achieve academic distinction and personal excellence, each year the school offers a number of scholarships, awards and bursaries to pupils with that spark of potential. Success in one of six scholarship areas (academic, sport, music, drama, art, design) enables pupils to apply for bursary support; there are also a small number of transformational bursaries that are not linked to scholarship.

Scholarships are offered at 11+, 13+ and 16+; these are merit based and competed for via examination, audition or assessment.

The Polack’s Award for Jewish pupils is also offered at 11+, 13+ and 16+, supported by the Polacks House Educational Trust.

The College also provides a Forces Boarding Award against the termly fee that will leave the balance payable after CEA, of the amounts detailed on the website.
