A gap in the market and demand from parents has led to the hotly anticipated opening of Bruern Abbey Senior School. Beginning with 20 to 30 boys in Year 9, the school (which only accepts boys with learning difficulties, mainly dyslexia and dyspraxia) will grow upwards organically to take a maximum of around 120 boys to GCSE. It’s very much an extension of the prep, so the same school just on two different sites, although the senior school is more akin to the mould of a traditional public school and aims to prepare boys to head back into mainstream sixth form brimming with confidence. ...
