Shrewsbury School

We are incredibly impressed with Shrewsbury – we love the secure but free-ranging campus environment, the young, enthusiastic, jovial staff, the calm sense of purpose and the all-round buzz in the air. The school began its move towards full co-education in 2014; today, the mix feels bang on (lots of girls in smart kilts everywhere we looked) and the school couldn’t be in better shape.Easy to find, the school sits on an open, airy campus on the edge of town. Most of the buildings (lovely historic red-bricks) are clustered around ‘Top Common’, a village green-like expanse...

    Bursaries
Around a third of current pupils at Shrewsbury receive some form of means-tested support, and the school operates a fairly thorough bursary policy to support this. It is available for both new and existing pupils, with priority given to pupils who are identified as having potential to benefit most from the opportunities Shrewsbury has to offer, and who will be able to contribute to the life of the school.

Assistance is conditional on a rigorous financial-check process and annual review, details of which can be found on the school’s website:
