Dulwich College Junior School

The full Dulwich journey begins at nursery, and lovely co-ed DUCKS gives pupils the very best start. With its own campus just up the road from the main college, there’s an extraordinary amount of space: playgrounds galore, masses of greenery, wigwams and even a forest school with its own orchard and pond. And, of course, all those bumper facilities shared with Dulwich College – swimming pool and theatre included. Getting your boy into the fervently non-selective nursery sets him on the right track to securing a Dulwich place all the way up to 18. Everyone’s prepared for 7+...

Operating alongside the senior-school admissions process, Dulwich College Junior School operates a generous bursary system, awarding 191 to boys across the entire school in 2019-20 worth between 10 and 100 per cent of fees (the majority of bursaries are 75-100 per cent). They are means-tested and reassessed every year. As a guideline, families whose total income is £35,000 per annum or less might receive a bursary of 100 per cent of school fees, and families whose total income is around £65,000 per annum might receive financial support of 50 per cent.

Places are conditional on passing all other entrance requirements – Dulwich is highly selective and most successful applicants for both supported and regular places are in the top 15 per cent of academic ability for their age group.
