The vision at thriving co-ed Cranleigh, with its stunning 240-acre campus in leafy Surrey, has always been to provide a broad education for local children. This means a marked effort by head Martin Reader (previously at Wellington before taking up the post in 2014) to embrace a curriculum that puts equal emphasis on heavyweight subjects such as philosophy and science as it does on the creative and performing arts (the school motto reads ‘From Culture Comes Strength’).
