Beaudesert Park School

For relocating Londoners as well as longstanding locals, Beaudesert sits high on the Cotswold-prep list. Head Chris Searson arrived at this popular co-ed in September 2018; his bright sparks scoop up scholarships to Cheltenham College, Marlborough and Malvern College. It’s largely a day school but with flexi and weekly boarding too – no one sleeps over on Saturday nights. There’s a whizzy RIBA-nominated performing arts-centre with an auditorium that everyone piles into for assemblies, and smart soundproofed practice rooms (19 visiting music teachers at the last count – if someone has a burning desire to learn the ukulele or the bagpipes, the school can make it happen). Beaudesert Park offers a number of means-tested Bursaries each academic year for children from Year 4 and above, whose parents would not otherwise be able to afford a Beaudesert education. In addition, they offer help securing funding beyond Year 8 with an appropriate senior school. Awards are worth between 80 and 100% of fees and are subject to a full financial history and annual review. The School takes into account its own academic assessment of applicants as well as a report from the child’s current school.

For more information as well as a link to their Bursary Policy, please see the School website:
