Repton School celebrates outstanding A-level results

Repton School pupils are celebrating their A Level and BTEC results with nearly 42% of entries being awarded an A* or A grade, and 73% A* to B.

As a result of these fantastic achievements, a significant number of Reptonians have secured their first-choice place at prestigious Russell Group Universities. Particular congratulations go to Florence Thomas and Jenna Langley who have secured places at Cambridge University to read English and Medicine respectively.

Nineteen pupils achieved straight A*s and As with particular congratulations going to Daniel Chan (A*A*A*) and Leo Pollock (A*A*A*) for achieving a clean sweep of the top grades. Leo was a member of Repton’s elite swimming programme, competing nationally. Alice Marriott and Evelyn Brough should be congratulated for their achievements in Fine Art A Level; they received letters of commendation from the exam board for scoring some of the highest marks in the country.

Repton pupils continue to win entry to the best US Universities with Tilly Butterworth going to Harvard University, Ibby Weldon to North Eastern, Matvei Rybalkin to Boston University, Holly Robinson to Arkansas, Johnny Rush to Ohio State, Elly Broughton to University of New Mexico and Vladyslav Kotsiubynskyi to Reed College. Many of these Reptonians will be part of elite sporting programmes and will continue to perform at the highest level in their sport, alongside their academic endeavours.

Repton School’s Headmaster, Mark Semmence praised Repton’s Upper Sixth Formers for their outstanding set of results and praised the determination and resilience they displayed throughout their A Level courses.“

We are ambitious for every one of our pupils and it is fantastic to be able to recognise their success on results day. It is a testament to their resilience and hard work in addition to the dedication and commitment of Repton’s teaching and examination staff that our pupils have achieved the results that will allow them to fulfil their aspirations beyond Repton.”

There is much to celebrate across the whole Upper Sixth and we wish them the very best of luck and look forward to hearing of their achievements and adventures in the years to come.
