Surbiton High School Receives Prestigious Silver ‘InspirEd School Marketer Award

Surbiton High School is delighted to announce its recent victory, securing the 2023 Silver InspirEd School Marketers Brilliance Award for the outstanding 'Enrollment/Admissions Video, Outsourced.'

The school proudly stands as a recipient in the only international competition recognising excellence in private and independent school marketing and communications.

Sponsored by InspirEd School Marketers, a community dedicated to providing 'brilliant ideas and brain food' for private school administrators worldwide, the Brilliance Awards attract entries from top educational institutions globally. Surbiton High School's remarkable achievement reflects its commitment to innovation and excellence in communicating its unique qualities.

Entries for the Brilliance Awards were rigorously evaluated by a volunteer panel of 88 marketing experts from around the world, all professionals in private schools or businesses specialising in private school marketing. Each entry was assessed on criteria such as originality, persuasiveness, copy/script/dialogue, visual elements, execution, and overall appeal.

The judges were impressed with the energy and creativity showcased in Surbiton High School's 'Education Unleashed' video, produced by Affixxius Films. Notably, the exceptional student narration was described as "awesome," with one judge expressing, "The student narration is exceptional; the video is upbeat, includes school keywords, illustrates the diversity of the school body, and we love the time-lapse.”

The video's intelligent use of initialism within the script was recognised by the judges, who praised its seamless translation to on-screen graphics, enhancing the overall viewer experience. The energetic and stereotype-defying approach of the video was also highlighted as particularly effective in conveying the school's dynamic ethos.

Surbiton High School extends its sincere gratitude to the dedicated team instrumental in creating this award-winning video. Miles Latham, Managing Director of Affixxius Films, James Cookson, Director of Affixxius Films, Billy King, Senior Producer at Affixxius Films, and Sara Stockdale, Surbiton High School's Director of Marketing, Communications, and Admissions, all played pivotal roles in achieving this outstanding success.
