Coffee Concert

 

Playing to a packed Culachy, the large and appreciative audience enjoyed performances beginning with March, Strathspey and Reel from Henry R on the bagpipes, then four pianists (Grace L. Nanami M. Iona J and Fletcher L.) all took to the Steinway with repertoire ranging from Faure to Chopin.

Following that, was the annual draw for the House Singing Competition. Each House picked (at random) one envelope containing a Hymn which is to be sung, from memory, in the highly competitive event. Some even dared to sing the first line so their House knew what they’d be singing whilst others allowed Mr Tully to play a verse on the piano.
